Outcomes of Extension activities in the neighborhood community in terms of impact and sensitizing the students to social issues for their holistic development.

Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Institute of Pharmacy through the support of Social Service Club and Rotaract Club has initiated various extension activities with the aim to maintain the connectivity with the neighborhood community and to develop a sense of concern about social issues among the students. All students are constantly motivated to participate in extension activities regularly organized by the college. The main objective of the club is to increase awareness of the students about various challenges and hurdles faced by society and to develop the mindset to help the needy one. Helping the deprived: College frequently has arranged the visits of students and staff to nearby communities to help them through various program some of them like: Free health
checkup and free medicine distribution to the poor community.

Free eye checkup Donates a welfare material to Anand Anath Ashram. Donates first aid kid to the rural community Blood donation Camp. Safety Awareness: Extension activities in collaboration with NGO’s were carried out to educate local people regarding their safety through programs like road safety awareness, river cleaning, and providing knowledge about mobile hazards. Environmental Preservation: With the aim of environmental preservation college regularly arranged the tree plantation program and planted many trees and arranged rally and skit to provide knowledge about importance of tree plantation in simple way. Women Safety and health: Various activities like awareness program to provide information on women safety, health related issues, common disorder like Poly Cyst Ovary Disorder and importance of diet to educate and motivate women have been arranged by college. Health and common diseases: To increase awareness about common disease in local region with season, college has arranged number of programs including: Dengue Awareness Malaria Awareness Aids Awareness Pre-monsoon Diseases and care
